This is the spark plug for Mercedes-Benz turbo petrol engines, part number A0041597503. It's made by NGK (their part SILZKFR8D-7S) with an iridium centre electrode, which wears much more slowly than a standard plug and keeps the spark strong for longer. Sellers list it for the M270 and M274 four-cylinder engines and the M276 V6, found in many C-Class, E-Class, GLK, GLC, A-Class and CLA models from about 2012 onwards. Worn plugs make the engine work harder for the same result. Typical signs are a rough or shaky idle, hesitation when you press the accelerator, the car struggling to start in the morning, using more fuel than usual, and a check engine light for engine misfire. Don't drive for long with a misfire: unburnt fuel can overheat and damage the catalytic converter, which costs far more than a set of plugs. Check your engine before you order. Mercedes uses several different plugs across these engines, sometimes even between power versions of the same engine. Compare the number printed on your old plug, or send us your VIN on WhatsApp and we'll confirm the right plug for your car. Always replace the full set, not just one plug. Let the engine cool completely before you start. Remove the engine cover and ignition coils, unscrew the old plugs, and fit the new ones by hand first so they don't cross-thread in the aluminium cylinder head. Tighten them to the specified torque, not more. Then refit the coils and clear any misfire codes with a diagnostic tool. Urban Auto Spares delivers within Nairobi and across Kenya.
